Special Summer Exhibition “Katsuragi in the Edo Period as Seen by Travelers – Recreating from Travelogues”

In the Edo period, Katsuragi was bustling with travelers who came and went along the Takenouchi Kaido and Koya Kaido roads.
In this exhibition, we will show how people traveled in those days and trace their footsteps using travelogues, which describe what they saw and heard on their journeys.

About the Special Summer Exhibition

  • Duration: July 27 (Sat) through September 1 (Sun)
  • Location: Special Exhibition Room, 1st floor of the Museum of History
  • Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Admission until 4:30 p.m.)
  • Closed: Tuesdays every week, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays in the month
  • Admission fee:Adults ¥200 (¥160), Senior high school and college students ¥100 (¥80), Elementary and junior high school students ¥50 (¥40)        

*The prices in parentheses are for groups of 20 or more.

Special Exhibition Commemorative Lecture

A commemorative lecture for the exhibition will be held as follows.

If you wish to attend, please make sure to register at least one day in advance.

*Those who do not register in advance will not be able to attend the lecture.
