“Taima no Sato Peony Festival” to be held, coloring Katsuragi City in spring!
At Taima-dera Temple and Sekko-ji Temple, famous as flower temples, many peonies and tree peonies bloom every year from mid-April to early May. During the blooming period, paper lanterns are set up along the Taima-dera Temple approach and around Sekko-ji Temple as part of the “Taima no Sato Peony Festival,” creating a festive atmosphere.
On April 14th during the festival period, The Shōju Raigō Nerikuyō Eshik Service, a ritual with over 1000 years of history, will be held at Taima-dera Temple.
