The Iris Festival celebrates beautiful blooming irises.
Please enjoy the scene of worker wearing traditional “KONGASURI” and SUGEGASA (sedge hat) picking testa, and the performance of KOTA(Japanese instruments).

About Yokosuka Iris Garden
Cultivation of the Japanese Irises has been widespread since the time of the Edo Era, which gave birth to various kinds of new-breds of irises.
Our Iris Garden´s classifications are: Edo series, Higo series, Ise series and American series.
From late May until the beginning of July, 412 varieties with a total of 140,000 are in bloom in a 7,000㎡ field.
Please enjoy the different varieties in bloom.
