Oppama Day 2024 at Yokosuka Stadium

Join us on August 15, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM for Oppama Day 2024 at Yokosuka Stadium! This exciting event features a variety of activities, including the Kanagawa Prefecture Baseball Exchange Games, delicious treats, fun games, and unique local exhibits. Experience the thrill of our earthquake simulations, including a new VR experience introduced this year.

Event Highlights

This year’s Oppama Day coincides with the Kanagawa Prefecture Baseball Exchange Games! Before the game, enjoy a variety of activities around the stadium including cotton candy, shaved ice, popcorn, and super ball scooping. There will also be exhibits and hands-on experiences from local Oppama businesses to energize the venue.

Additionally, experience a simulated earthquake with the earthquake experience vehicle. This year, we are also offering a VR earthquake simulation, introduced in February (pre-registration required).

VR Earthquake Experience Sessions

Session 1 10:15 AM – 10:45 AM (approximately 5 minutes)

Session 2 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM (approximately 5 minutes)

Participation in either Session 1 or Session 2 is available.
The non-VR earthquake experience will be available from 10:45 AM – 1:00 PM (registration ends at 1:00 PM).

Location

Yokosuka Stadium, outside the stadium’s earthquake experience vehicle.

Eligibility

Ages 13 and older (Children ages 7-12 may participate with prior parental consent due to potential risks).

Exclusions

Individuals with heart conditions, those who are intoxicated, pregnant, or unable to participate safely. Wheelchair users may not be accommodated.

Capacity

5 groups per session (up to 4 people per group). Priority given to residents, workers, or students from the city in case of high demand.

Note

The earthquake experience may be canceled in case of bad weather, equipment failure, or other emergencies.

Yokosuka Stadium

Yokosuka Stadium is the home stadium of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars Minor League team and hosts around 30 official Eastern League games each year. The stadium features a state-of-the-art scoreboard with full-color LED lights, still image and video displays, and a high-speed pitch view.

Adults/College Students: 10,480 Yen
High School Students and Younger: 6,550 Yen

2-Hour Time Blocks from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM

1. Broadcast Equipment: 1,570 Yen per time block
2. Scoreboard: 3,300 Yen per time block
3. Nighttime Lights: 6,280 Yen per 30 minutes (7,330 Yen from July to September)
4. Conference Room No. 1: 210 Yen per 30 minutes
5. Conference Room No. 2: 150 Yen per 30 minutes
6. Main Seated Room: 210 Yen per 30 minutes
7. Indoor Pitching Area: 2,100 Yen per hour
