Yokosuka Machinaka Music Live 2024

“Yokosuka Machinaka Music Live 2024” will be held from June 7 to July 12, 2024. Organized by the YouTube channel “Tokyo Street Live 4K,” which has over 300,000 subscribers, the event will feature live performances from up-and-coming artists who have gained attention on social media. It will take place at the Y Deck in front of Yokosuka Chuo Station.

Artists will showcase their vibrant voices amidst the bustling Y deck, and the live performances will be streamed on the “Tokyo Street Live 4K” YouTube channel.

About “Yokosuka Machinaka Music Live 2024”

This year, marking the fifth edition of the “Yokosuka Machinaka Music Live 2024” event will feature many artists who are rapidly rising in popularity and have garnered over one million views on YouTube. Additionally, “Upiko,” which previously recorded approximately five million views and received an overwhelming response, is scheduled to appear. Young artists expected to make significant impacts in the future will also gather in Yokosuka.

Aibry

Aibry is an emerging artist, born on November 13, 2001, in the Philippines and raised in Osaka, Japan. After graduating from a sports-oriented high school, Aibry pursued guitar studies at a vocational school. In 2020, Aibry began performing street live shows in Osaka, gaining significant attention on social media through cover song videos.

On July 23, 2022, Aibry embarked on a nationwide street live tour, starting in Tokyo and culminating in Osaka on November 25, 2023, successfully performing in all 47 prefectures of Japan. In addition to street performances, Aibry plays at music events, live houses, and various events, including school functions.

The name Aibry combines the words “I believe” and “I brave,” symbolizing a commitment to self-belief and courage in pursuing dreams of performing in large stadiums.

Park Yoona

Yoona Park, who has loved singing since childhood, began creating music shortly after entering high school.
In her second year, she started performing street live shows in Nagoya and has been active in music ever since.

Her social media video in 2022 gained widespread attention by surpassing 2 million views. In 2023, she was the runner-up in a TV audition.

This year, she performed solo concerts and appeared at VIVA LA ROCK 2024 at Saitama Super Arena.

Additionally, on November 10, 2024, Yoona Park is scheduled to hold her largest solo concert to date at the Tokyo Kinema Club.

Upiko

Originating from Yamaguchi Prefecture, Upiko moved to Tokyo in November 2020 to pursue a music career. They have gained significant attention by posting originals and cover songs on TikTok and YouTube, using only acoustic guitar and vocals. Their lyrics and powerful singing, which directly address the emotions of suicidal individuals and troubled youths, have rapidly increased their follower count.

Additionally, their “Character Impersonation Songwriting” series, where they write and compose songs from the perspective of anime characters, has gone viral on TikTok. With a diverse range of original music styles, this artist is one of the most noteworthy talents of 2023.

Mayumi Osa

Mayumi Osa began her singing journey in the first year of middle school when she was diagnosed with cancer. Inspired and encouraged by the annual Kohaku Uta Gassen watched with her family, she discovered “hope for living” through music during her three-month hospital stay. This experience led her to resolve to deliver inspiration, courage, and “hope for living” to others through her singing.

Currently, she performs 10 times a month at live houses in Tokyo and Osaka. Furthermore, in her pursuit to expand her fan base and prepare for upcoming performances, she conducts street performances and live streams twice a week.

Yabe

Yabe, originally from Taiwan, has been actively conducting street live performances across various locations in Japan since January 2024. While attending university in Taiwan, Yabe’s goal is to have their first live performance in a Japanese live house. In 2024, Yabe has released 5 original songs.

Ryota Kaizo

Ryota Kaizo emerged victorious in the 2016 Karaoke World Championships (KWC) Japan competition, triumphing over approximately 5,000 contestants. He went on to compete in the world finals held in Vancouver, Canada, where he sang J-pop and clinched the championship in the male category. Continuing his success, Kaizo became a world champion once again in the duet category at the 2017 KWC, showcasing his prowess on numerous music programs and earning multiple accolades.

In 2018, Kaizo made his major debut with the hit single “Ai no Katachi”. The following year, he released his first album “Communication” and held his inaugural solo concerts in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. “Ai no Katachi” topped the Cable J-POP Inquiry Ranking, marking a significant achievement in his career.

In 2021, Kaizo posted “Psychopath no Uta” on TikTok as part of a campaign to combat slander and bullying on social media, which quickly surpassed 1 million views in just one month. Celebrating his fifth anniversary since debut in 2023, he launched the “Weekly Kaizo” project, aiming to set a new world record by releasing music weekly.
