Okutama Fishing Center
Okutama Fishing Center is an artificial fishing spot that was created by damming part of the Tamagawa River; it is one of the most popular and largest spots in Tokyo where you can enjoy fresh water fishing.
The fishing area is divided into sections in accordance with one's purpose, there is a group fishing section, a family fishing section, a general fishing section and lure and fly fishing sections so that a wide range of people from beginners to advanced can enjoy fishing.
There is also a fishing pond where young children can fish safely.
Depending on the season, a variety of fish, such as nijimasu (rainbow trout), iwana (Japanese char) and yamame (masu trout) are released. You can ask to have the fish you caught filleted, and enjoy a riverside barbecue.
