Tamagawa Josui Water Supply (near Shinbori-bashi Bridge)
Tamagawa Josui Water Supply is an artificial waterway constructed in the Edo period (1603-1868) to provide drinking water to people in Edo.
This waterway draws water from the Tamagawa River in Hamura City and runs to near Yotsuya as we know it today for about 43 kilometers. This waterway is one of the Ten Views of Fussa.
The leafy waterside extending along the waterway is a relaxing place for people as well as a treasure house of wild birds and insects, offering the enjoyment of the landscapes for all four seasons.
