Kurondo Pond
This was formerly also known as the Kuromizo-ike Pond.
It was dug in 1624 (year 1 of Kan’ei during the Edo era) and supported rice cultivation in the region as a pond to provide agricultural water.
There are hiking trails, barbecue sites, and campsites all over the area; it is a good recreation zone where you can feel nature close to you.
There are ryokans such as the Kurondo-so on the shores of the pond, and you can enjoy lodging, cooking, and barbecuing.
