Tsubame Industrial Materials Museum
This history museum traces the historical roots of the metal-working industry local to Tsubame.
Beginning with Japanese nail making in the early Edo period, the museum showcases rasps, kiseru smoking pipes, and copperware manufacturing, along with restoration exhibitions of workshops and recent gold works as well.
400 years of Tsubame's industrial history is available on display here with easy-to-understand videos.
At their newly established hands-on workshop visitors can experience crafting techniques firsthand with a wide variety of activities, including hammering, spoon oxidation coloring, and more.
