Chouzenkan Museum
This history museum is dedicated to the private school Chouzenkan, which was first founded in 1833 by Buntai Suzuki.
Chozenkan educated many notable figures that went on to develop and contribute to society, including building the Ohkouzu Water Diversion Channel and furthering the development of medical care in Japan.
The teaching model at the school was based on the idea of "achieving for the people".
The museum showcases many different achievements from the students who attended the school.
There are a wide variety of teaching methods on display here to learn about, including the history of cram schools, educational techniques, textbooks, and other ways of teaching that are widely known today.
A replica of the Yonozu meteorite is also on display here.
