Jionji Temple
The Jionji Temple was founded in the Nara period (710-794) by the order of Emperor Shomu.
There are three important cultural assets on the site: the main hall, the Yakushido hall and the three-storey pagoda.
The temple was designated as a national historic site in October 2014.
