Nawa Insect Museum
Located inside Gifu Park, the Nawa Insect Museum was founded by the entomologist Yasushi Nawa and is a distinguished insect museum in Japan.
There are various specimens of the world's insects, including the Gifu butterfly, which was discovered by Nawa.
The building, being about 100 years old, is designated as a "Registered Tangible Cultural Property" for being an important building of the Western style of the Meiji and Taisho periods.
