Yase Cliff
This sheer cliff wall was the setting for Seicho Matsumoto's masterpiece novel "Zero Focus."
It was also a filming location for movies released in 1961 (Showa 36) and 2009 (Heisei 21), and is a popular spot on the Noto Kongo Coast.
A long time ago, the surrounding land was infertile and it was believed that standing on the cliff made you become thinner, which is said to be the origin of the name "Yase," which means "thin."
The view of the Sea of Japan from the 35 meter high cliff is well worth seeing.
The walkway along the cliff also connects to "Yoshitsune's Boat Hiding Place," so you can explore the area while enjoying nature.
