Science Museum of Map and Survey
The Science Museum of Map and Survey is a facility with general exhibitions on the history, principles, mechanisms, and new technologies related to maps and surveying.
Inside the museum, the Japanese archipelago appears to float in three dimensions when viewed using special red and blue glasses.
There are also displays of old maps and the world's oldest existing globe, as well as a computer area where visitors can enjoy learning about geography and maps.
In the Earth Plaza outside the museum, there is a 22-meter-diameter spherical model of the Japanese archipelago that allows visitors to experience the earth's roundness.
