National Historic Site Oda-jo Castle Site
The ruins of Oda-jo Castle are the remains of the castle of the Oda clan, which boasted the greatest power in the southern part of Hitachi Province from the Kamakura Period to the Warring States Period.
In 1935, the site was designated as a national historic site.
A pond and other features have been restored within the main castle space, which is surrounded by a moat and earthen mounds.
There is also an information center where visitors can learn about the Oda clan and Oda Castle.
