Introduces artists associated with Ibaraki, including Taikan Yokoyama, as well as modern art from Japan and the West
The Museum of Modern Art, Ibaraki is located on the lush shores of Lake Senba leading out of Kairakuen Garden.
It houses and exhibits about 4,000 pieces of modern and contemporary art, both domestic and international, with a main focus on artists associated with Ibaraki.
The museum’s collection includes “The Three Shades" by Auguste Rodin, works by Taikan Yokoyama and Tsune Nakamura, and many others.
The museum offers special exhibitions, exhibitions of works from the collection, art lectures and workshops, making it easy to enjoy encounters with art.
