Rakujuen Park
The Rakuju Garden was built as a second villa for Prince Komatsunomiya-Akihito.
The entire garden and buildings stand on the top of the Mishima lava that flowed from Mount Fuji, about ten thousand years ago.
The garden is designated as a national scenic spot in Japan and is owned by Mishima city.
There are also animal Square and Vehicles Square and so the size of the entire garden is about 75,000㎡.
The “Obama pond” is designed in the center of the garden.
The water of Obama pond comes from the snow melting water from Mt.Fuji.
However, in recent Obama pond is often not filled with water.
In spring, you can appreciate the cherry blossoms, in autumn the autumn color and the Kiku flower festival.
