The length of the Genbe River is 1.5 km.
The uppermost stream of the Genbe River is from the "Kohama pond" in the "Rakujuen Park" that is designated as a place of national scenic beauty.
Down the Genbe River reaches the "Nakazato Onsuichi Pond".
You can enjoy the walking path along with the river that is called "Seseragi-sanpo" and see the fireflies in early summer night.
There are old hand pumps that give a nostalgic atmosphere are installed in the area of the Hirose Bridge.
It is said that the origin of the name, Genbe River was from the name of Mr. Genbe Terao who proposed to use this water for paddy fields.
