Monument in Memory of Ichiryo Gusoku
When Motochika Chosokabe attacked Akikunitora, he came up with the idea of "agricultural soldiers” (Ichiryo Gusoku), who in peacetime live as peasants, tilling the fields, but when mobilised by their lords, immediately accept the call to arms.
These soldiers, who refused to surrender Urado Castle, were killed, and buried here.
In the neighborhood, there are the Ishimaru Shrine, Rokutai Jizo, a monument to the loyal dead, the five-ring pagoda (Gorinto), and the ruins of Shoro (bell tower).
