Tsuru City Merchant's House Museum
This is museum was constructed from a silk wholesale store built in 1921 (Taisho year 10).
It exhibits a large number of materials related to Kai silk as well as tools from the Edo period through to the early Showa period.
The museum also has hand carved kumiko woodwork and shoji paper screens, which are a rarity today, as well as a Western style reception room, which was conversely very rare at the time.
