KOBAYASHI ICHIZO MEMORIAL HOUSE
Opened in 2010, this facility focuses on the life and achievements of artist Ichizo Kobayashi, with the main feature being his former Western-style residence, "Gazoku Sanso".
In 2009, Gazoku Sanso, the tea rooms "Soku-an" and "Hi-in", the main gate "Nagaya-mon" and the wall, were recognized as National Important Cultural Properties (buildings) and, as a result, the interior of Gazoku Sanso has been restored to its original state during Kobayashi's residence.
Visitors can experience the past and reflect on his achievements.
