Enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the five lakes of Mikata
This park is located on the 11.24-km long Rainbow Line that stretches from Mihama Town to Wakasa Town in Fukui Prefecture.
The summit park is accessed from the parking lot via a lift and cable car, and from the observation platform you can see the Sea of Japan, the Mikata Goko (five lakes), Cape Echizen, and the Tsuruga Peninsula.
The park has long been famous as one of the few places in Japan where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view, but in April 2020, it was reopened and reopened as an all-weather mountaintop park with an indoor building to shelter it from rain and wind, something that had never been possible before.
In addition, five new terraces were built based on the concept of "terraces in the sky floating on Mikata Goko (five lakes in Mikata)," and visitors can enjoy different spectacular views from each terrace.
