Come here after seeing the Art Museum

The woodblock printmaker Shiko Munakata, known as "Munakata of the World," relocated to the Fukumitsu region of Nanto with his family near the end of World War II.
These two buildings give visitors a sense of the six years and eight months he spent here.
Shiko Munakata Memorial Hall “Aizen En” is home to many of Munakata's works, while his atelier and former residence Riugasai gives a glimpse into what his life was like.
In particular, the tennyo and bodhisattva in the bathroom at Riugasai are definitely worth a look. You can also visit the folk crafts museum Shogedo and exhibition hall Shiko Munakata Archives Museum.
Come experience this fascinating place where you can almost hear Munakata's breath as he labors over his latest work.
