Famous for its seasonal windmill displays

The residence of Matazaemon Tamura, a chief retainer of the Ono domain during the late Edo period, has been carefully dismantled, restored, and opened to the public.
This historic site is one of the few remaining samurai residences from the early modern period in Fukui Prefecture. It preserves the atmosphere of an upper-class samurai home and is designated as a cultural property by the city.
The house is especially popular as a photo spot during the limited-time display of colorful windmills.
