Babadaimon no Keyaki Namiki (Two rows of Zelkova Trees along the Avenue)
This avenue is said to have been created in 1062 when Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and his son Yoshie contributed 1000 zelkova tree saplings as an offering of prayer for their victory in the Former Nine Years' War.
Later, Tokugawa Ieyasu would gift a new horse-riding ground as thanks for the area's role in his victory at the Siege of Osaka and the Battle of Sekigahara, after which more zelkova saplings were planted.
The area is now designated by the state as a natural monument, offering beautiful scenery reminiscent of a tunnel of greenery.
