A facility steeped in nostalgia from the Showa era, showcasing exhibits from the Japanese National Railways (JNR) period
At Mukaiyama Station Museum, housed in the former office of the old JNR Mukaiyama Station (now Aoi Mori Railway Mukoyama Station), you’ll find a variety of railway-related materials and equipment used during the JNR era on display. The museum also features an N-gauge railway diorama, where you can watch different trains in action, including Aoi Mori Railway trains running along the line and JR Freight trains.
The museum is operated by the Mukaiyama Station Appreciation Society, which includes both local residents and railway enthusiasts from all over Japan. On open days, you can enjoy not only the exhibits but also the opportunity to interact with society members.
