Okinawa's world-class karate center
In Okinawa Prefecture, the birthplace of karate, which is said to have more than 130 million enthusiasts worldwide, the Okinawa Karate Kaikan was opened on March 4, 2017 as a base to promote Okinawa as the birthplace of karate to the world and to learn the essence of karate, in order to preserve, inherit and develop Okinawa karate as a unique culture.
In addition to dojo facilities (dojo, training room, study room, and conference room), the Okinawa Karate Kaikan has exhibition facilities, stores, and restaurants, allowing not only those involved in karate in Japan and abroad, but also tourists and people with no karate experience to enjoy it.
