Sabo (Erosion control) Yugakukan
Located in the Hanedani Dandan Park, it is a facility where you can learn about sediment disasters. It was built to let many people know about Hanegatani, which has a history of fighting sediment disasters since the Edo Period.
You can see 3D images that allow you to learn about sediment disasters as a simulated experience, as well as videos of sediment disasters that occurred nationwide, and learn about the mechanism of sediment disasters on panels and in the diorama of Hanegatani.
In the vicinity, you can see a megalithic dam built under the guidance of Dutch engineer Johannes de Rijke to fight sediment disasters.
