IBARAKI Sato Sake Shop

Founded over 70 years ago, the Sato Sake Shop is a long-established family business now operated by the fourth generation.
Located within "Playatre Tsuchiura," and directly connected to the JR Tsuchiura Station, this all-Ibaraki speciality shop offers a wide variety of local sake from about 30 breweries across Ibaraki Prefecture.
In addition to the retail section, where the local sakes are displayed, the shop features a tasting corner where customers can enjoy and compare local sakes and craft beers.

The shop also carries a wide selection of ume-shu (plum wine) and liqueurs, popular among women.
Customers are welcome to bring these beverages to the accommodation facilities of the Hoshino resort (BEB5) on the upper floors of the station building.

As part of the Sato Sake Shop's recent initiative to offer customers a hands-on experience with Ibaraki's local sake, the interactive speciality store 'IBARAKI Sato Sake Shop' opened on December 1, 2019, on the 2nd floor of Playatre Tsuchiura!
