This underground vault is located in Oppama, a former major base for the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service, and it was said to have totaled over 2 km in length.
There are rooms large enough for a truck to fit in, rooms possibly used for storage, and other remnants of the past.
This site is a satellite spot for the Yokosuka Route Museum, a unique way to experience the entire city as a “museum” with “routes” that connects together the history, culture, and natural environment of Yokosuka.
